“We keep moving forward.” –Walt Disney
The Israelites were commanded by God to walk around Jericho and worship for six days so that on the seventh the walls would fall and they’d conquer the city. What if they’d said, “This just isn’t worth it!” or “This will never happen!” to stop short on the sixth day? They never would’ve seen God do the impossible and bring the walls tumbling down. Here’s the lesson: We must resist any temptation to stop short. When you walk in God’s ways, and keep worshipping Him every day, you will win. It's only a matter of time until you see God's blessing and favor.
But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead (Philippians 3:13, ESV).
