David was the first to kill a ten-foot giant philistine in battle. Little did David know in that time that he established an invaluable precedent for the men of Israel. Many years later, David’s servants fought in battle and also killed giants to lead Israel to victory over the Philistines (2 Samuel 21). Here’s the lesson: when you have courage to do what’s right then you inspire others to do the same. David created a culture of Giant killers and so can you. When God is for you then it doesn’t matter how big the opposition may seem, in the end you will win.
