“You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.” –Steve Jobs
Do you remember when you were a kid and you played Connect The Dots? The dots formed a picture of a dog, but you didn’t know that until you finished connecting the dots. God works out events in our lives the same way. We go from point A to point B, and we don’t see the big picture God is creating yet. When we go from B to K, then we may finally start to see what God is creating. We may not see the big picture in the midst of pain; we are able to see the big picture in hindsight after seeing what God did next. All of the events in our lives, positive or negative, work together for the good. It’s only when you truly have this realization about your past that you start to trust God with your future. In the end, you will see God has created magnificent picture.
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them (Romans 8:28, NLT).
