“To accomplish great things we must dream, as well as act.” -Anatole France
God appeared to Jacob in a dream to let him know that the land that he was lying on would be given to him and his descendents. He awoke and named the land Bethel, meaning “House of God.” Even though the land was still technically known as “Luz,” Jacob called it like he saw it. Maybe your reality and the dream God has put in your heart don’t exactly match up yet, but you must call it like you see it. Professing the dream God has put in your heart is the first step of acting in agreement.
He called the name of that place Bethel, but the name of the city was Luz at the first (Genesis 28:19, ESV).
